Who We Work With

What issues can couples and family counseling help with?
Couples and family counseling can help with communication problems, frequent conflict, trust concerns, parenting differences, major life transitions, blended family challenges, disconnection, and patterns that leave relationships feeling stuck.
Do both partners or family members have to attend?
Not always. The structure of counseling depends on the concerns being addressed and your treatment goals. Some sessions may include everyone involved, while others may focus on specific individuals when that is clinically appropriate and helpful.
Can couples counseling help if we are not in crisis?
Yes. Couples counseling is not only for relationships in crisis. Many couples come to therapy to improve communication, strengthen connection, work through recurring patterns, prepare for major life changes, or prevent smaller concerns from becoming larger ones.
Do you offer online couples and family counseling?
Yes. We offer secure telehealth therapy throughout Ohio when online counseling is appropriate for the people involved. Virtual sessions can make it easier to coordinate schedules and participate from a familiar environment.
What can we expect in the first session?
The first session is a chance to understand what has been happening, hear each person’s perspective, identify important relationship patterns, and talk about what you would like to change. Your therapist will work with you to develop goals and determine the best approach moving forward.
Do you accept insurance for couples and family counseling?
Insurance coverage for couples and family counseling can vary depending on the plan, therapist, and reason for treatment. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to verify behavioral health benefits and coverage before beginning services. Self-pay options may also be available.
